Green MarineThe renown shipyard Green Marine Ltd based in the United Kingdom has decided to use Shipbuilder Software for critical weight control. Green Marine are engineering and building top level racing yachts next to her other carbon structure activities. The racing yachts are projects with ultimate requirements in many areas. With a new 100 foot racer Green Marine wants to manage the weight of the boat per kilogram. This process starts with the architects, designers and engineers. In a next step each physical kilogram from Production and Suppliers are recorded. The final recording of each kilogram happens before parts are installed on board. Shipbuilder has been selected because of her real time, consistent data management within the configuration of the yacht. On top of that three weight calculations are compared continuously, target weight, actual weight and the comparison yacht.
